I have a Direct TV DVR and I feel its Supposed to let me verbs files to my computer, there is 1 USB port contained by the back and 1 within the front. I checked the manual and it say that they are for future use. What do I do?

The only route to get recordings sour of your Directv DVR is to record them onto VHS tape or DVDs. The USB port is for future use and serves no purpose right immediately.
