I own a DVR and a Laptop that can burn DVD...How do I procure shows from DVR to DVD?
Answers: This is a toughy, I had impossible to tell apart issue. Unfortunatly there are greatly of DVR units that you can't do this at adjectives unless you crack it open, remove the hard-drive and nouns the hard-drove onto you computer. I'm not sure how to do this at all, and doing so voids your warrenty. Those things aren't cheap my Dish Network DVR be going to cost me $400 if I didn't return it after I canceled service.
There is a Yahoo group called something approaching "DishRip" Check them out.
Have you tried plugging in your labtop and trying to access the shows? If you can Download the shows onto your labtop you can burn them that means of access. Some DVRs try to stop access to computers to stop people from burning shows (copywrite laws) so you may requirement do download some freeware to convert the files. I'm not sure exactly what kind of freeware you'll want because I don't know which DVR.
