Is near a DVR out in attendance specifically ultimate for HD programming, library content to DVD, skips commercials++?

Videophiles, Technophiles needed! I need the correct DVR to add to my home entertainment system? What DVR should I be looking at? I want to register multiple programs, skip commercials, record within HD with plenty of space and burn to DVD? Ability to play DVD and upconvert to 1080p or even play HD DVD would be awesome? IS here a DVR out there that will do adjectives of this? HELP! Thanks

Answers:    Hi jt2002champ,

A TiVo series 3 comes pretty close.

We prefer TiVo because of simplicity of use. The schedule is other correct because it is updated every day. I can program TiVo to account from out of town over the Internet. TiVo learns what you close to and recommends shows that you might similar to. Often times we never would have particular they were on. You can program an entire season of a given series beside a single click and TiVo never forgets. You can tell TiVo you resembling someone or something and it will locate shows for you. For example if you tell it you close to John Wayne it will watch for and journal anything he is on.

With my series 2 and series 3 TiVo's I can transfer recordings to my computer, bowdlerize them if desired then journal them to a DVD.

You can also allow TiVo to share pictures and music from your computer. It will play the music and slide shows on your TV.

I could go on and on give or take a few TiVo. There is one downside and that is the monthly (you can payment yearly if you want) levy.

You need any a phone line or internet nouns for TiVo to download software updates and program information.

Norm
No.

There is a lot of copy-protection issues that tight nobody will make a piece of equipment that lets you copy HD shows rotten to a DVD. Lots of pirates out there would love this.

Skipping commercials: relatives who made machines with a "commerical skip" characteristic have be sued and put out of business. (Remember that Commercials actually settle for all small screen shows.) My HD-DVR remote comes with a skip-back button, but not a skip forward button. (My general remote however does give me a skip-forward button.)

You own 2 choices:

- A HD-DVR from your cable company.
- A Series 3 Tivo with cable-card service from your cable company. (This at leasts give you large hard-drive capacity).

Then buy any a PS3 for BluRay or a HD-DVD player. These both up-convert standard DVD's.
