Can you play blueray discs on a regular dvd?



Answers:    The short version is no.
The technology are different on a BR disc than on a standard DVD.
Don't rush out and buy a BR player yet any, because HD DVD and BR are still fighting it out as to who will be the knockout in the High Def catagory. (remember Beta versus VHS.)
BR's are for a time cheaper right now, around 300 bucks. HD DVD players are about 500 bucks right very soon. If you just dally a year or 2, 3rd generation gear will be out next to a lot better reliability and lower prices.
