How can I copy copyrighted VHS to DVD?

I have only just purchased a VCR/DVD recorder combo for the purpose of moving my vast collection of VHS tape to DVD for my own personal library. Many of that tapes are copyright protected and will not verbs. Is there any route around this?

Answers:    Not with your setup. It would be nice if the merchant would tell you past hand that you could not copy copyrighted VHS to dvd.

The best and easiest agency is to buy an external encoder
http://www.adstech.com/ ADS makes some really nice ones that will plug right into your VCR and consequently plug into your PC via USB 2.0 or FIREWIRE and transfer the video onto your HDD. The authority to this is that all of the encoding is done by the ADS box and not your CPU. This results within superior video quality!.

Once you own the video transfered onto your HDD, you can then form a DVD video.

Good question. Maybe you can do a "Rube Goldberg".
