I have a Dish Network DVR, a DVD player, and a LCD tube, along with my computer.
I'd similar to to record some TV shows and put them as movie files on my computer, but I don't know how.
Could someone please explain what tools and software/hardware I'd stipulation to do this, and where to bring back them?

Answers: you can get a tv tuner. it forms a nouns between your computer and your tv. just Google "tv tuner" and it'll come up. read reviews and specs to find the type that would suit you.
