How do I copy from not easy drive to disk on my dvd recorder?
Answers: You certainly can copy from your tough disk to DVD, on any HDD-DVD recorder.
The procedure differs from make to variety, but it is broadly similar in adjectives cases. I have two HDD-DVD recorder, a Sony, and a LiteOn.
In any event, you will have a software menu of some mode, and it will depend on which mode/function you're in, as to what will be available.
There will be a money of viewing a list of record programmes, something like "title list" etc. Obviously working because you can select and play your recordings.
Whilst within the list, you should be capable of access a list of option, such things as, play, erase, edit, copy, dub, protect, title dub, etc. etc.
You may need to press your select button or 'options' ....or something similar.
You would obligation to select 'copy' or 'dub' or something along those lines.
I'm guessing that you'll know all that and will hold tried to copy a recording that process?
If so, let's assume you're doing things right?
If that's the case, you should check your machine's disc compatibilty. It would hold come with a detail of writeable media types, as a loose sheet or as a page surrounded by the owner's manual?
You want to make sure you're trying to use the right medium. Check and see which discs you can use, i.e. DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-DL or DVD+DL.
It isn't always clear to the uninitiated, but some machines will only work beside certain disc types, some will work next to them all. Remember that the symbols - (minus) and + (plus) denote different video recording protocols, they're not just nearby to separate DVD from R. It may seem marked, but there are relations who don't realise that it makes a difference!! and that DL denotes 'dual layer' and not adjectives DVD recorders can utilise DL discs (that's how I terminated up with two!). Also some discs must be formatted until that time you can record on them, but as far as I am aware, most, but for all, recorder will detect this and automatically format the disc for you - usually with a message to describe you what it's doing!
I'm not familiar near the Toshiba, but it's not a cheapy machine, so it should be gala to assume it will work with several, but for all disc types.
Also, and it may nouns daft, but don't try to record onto a CDROM, unless your domestic device specifically can create VCD format discs!
Finally, and it's again not always demonstrable, make sure that the programme you're trying to copy will "fit" on the disc. A single stratum DVD holds 4.7Gb of information. That's 2 hours and 7 minutes. Unlike video tapes, a DVD doesn't come beside a few minutes lea-way! If your programme is 2 hours 7 minutes and 10 seconds duration - it basically won't fit, period!
Dual-layer discs can hold 9.4Gb of information, or 4 hours and 14 minutes of video.
Some machines, Sony for example, will allow you to adjust the CD size (and picture quality) to fit into a smaller capacity disc. Others don't. Some machines, LiteOn for example will also touch music, pictures, and data, aswell as video programmes (All-Write (TM) technology) but may not allow programme size/quality adjustment.
If these are not the issues, near may be something wrong internally, especially possible if you've never copied to DVD before. And, if it's still contained by warranty, don't tinker with it. Though I to some extent suspect it's just "pilot error".
Sometimes, powering down and unplugging the D lead for a few minutes (to dissipate any static electric build-up) can relief, though I doubt it will help much here, but, it costs nil to try!
Failing all of the above, study the brochure, and/or visit the Toshiba web-site for further information.
i imagine you need to capture some sort of downloading programe me like roxio but not 100% sure m8
