Direct tv vs. time warner cable?

first of all im 14 so i live near my parents. all of my friends own direct tv with tivo and stuff and i really want to obtain it. we have time warner cable currently. its not awful, i basically want those extra features. my dad is not 100% convinced. we had dish or satellite or doesn`t matter what its called and they screwed him over, so i assume hes thinking he might get screwed over again. my dad and mom asked me why i want to bring direct tv, and i was close to because its better (which was soo the wrong answer) but the lone reason i could come up near was because of the tivo. could anyone detail me what else you can do with tivo and direct tv that you cant do near cable?

Answers:    Direct tv is awesome. We have have it for 4 years and love it. Dish network is probably what your dad get screwed over with it happen to us with them. One other point among ALL the other wonderful things is every year on your anniversary date they call you and extend you 3 different choices for example right now we are getting HBO and Cinamax free for 6 months because we are within good standings beside payments. We also had the likelihood for a free dvr(like tivo) system but we already had tivo. Bills are cheaper. 100+ HD channel for $10 more a month. I love it and would NEVER go put a bet on to cable. Hope that helps some surrounded by getting your parents to switch.
they're both good but if you enjoy kids then direct tv. because time warner have a HBO and they show porn
