Dish Network??
Answers: I have Dish Network DVR and this is how mine works:
You can set the DVR to journal a program from the guide or you can begin video recording a program that is already started. There are different option with both, as far as when the recoding begin and ends. You can pause live TV, "rewind" the pipe back as far as an hour from when you turned to that canal, and you can skip through commercials or whatever when you scrutinize a recorded program. Most DVRs can copy 100 hours of standard definition TV.
I like DVR but nearby is a major downfall near the receiver I enjoy, and that is that it is not a dual-tuner beneficiary. That means that if I am demo a program, I can either view that program, or watch something I previously record. You cannot watch another live program while you are tape a different program. DirecTV offers dual-tuner receiver. I honestly am not sure if Dish Network has dual tuners - I haven't looked into it too much because I know within has to be 2 lines running from the beneficiary to the satellite dish in demand for a dual-tuner DVR to work. And I don't want to have to recompense an installer to come out and run the additional dash, or be forced to extend my contract with Dish since I am sure I would enjoy to do that when upgrading equipment. With the DirecTV dual-tuner DVRs you can record 2 things at once, or see live TV while you are recording on a different warren.
