I own a Hughes Direc TV DVR but I no longer use Direc TV. Is my dvr upright for use within any other approach ?



Answers:    DirecTV DVRs are proprietary. They won't work with cable signals, and won't work beside satellite signals from other companies. It's pretty much a big paperweight, now.
