Answers:    no, only dvd's that are region 2 will work on british players, american ones are region 1
one and only if youve got a region free dvd player, the dvds from america tend to be region 1, some of the elder dvd players in the uk simply play region 2 ( the uk dvd) but most of the newer ones are multi region
