Can I use a Direct TV Tivo short Direct TV?

I have a Direct TV beneficiary w/ Tivo, but no longer have Direct TV. I be wondering if there is a approach to use the Tivo function built in similar to a VCR.... just be capable of record from input sources...


Answers:    Since the DirecTV TiVo unit do not have a regular TV tuner, you cannot use them for broadcast TV or on another TV service provider. Disconnecting the DirecTiVo from the service does not automatically expire any recordings that you own saved on the TiVo, so you can verbs to watch them (over and over) until you delete them!
