Answers:    Step One: Get your TiVo up to speed. I’m going to assume that you already own a TiVo. The first entity you’ll need, if you don’t hold it already, is the TiVoToGo software installed on your computer, and you’ll need to hook your TiVo into your Local Area Network. To do that, you’ll most plausible need to cart a trip to Radio Shack or Office Depot and buy a USB to Ethernet converter -- those run about $50, but you’ll be glad you enjoy it once your TiVo is networked and in position to go. The TiVo website have all the instructions you want on connecting your TiVo to a network, configuring the TiVoToGo software, and transferring files from your TiVo to your computer.

(Of course, TiVo isn’t the simply way to carry recordings of your favorite show -- you could just download them. If that’s your article, I’ll leave it to you to find one of the several BitTorrent sites that will put you surrounded by connection beside downloadable episodes of your favorite programs. Of course, if you go that route, do so knowing that here are some executives in Hollywood who would blissfully sue your *** for doing so. You might reply that you’re only downloading the program because you’re a enthusiast of the show, and Hollywood should want people to see their shows no thing how they choose to do so -- and you’re probably right in adage so. But Hollywood -- and the judge within your case -- could have delusions differently, so understand that you download at your own risk.)

Step Two: Strip the DRM. TiVoToGo files are wrapped within digital rights management (or DRM) software that keep you from sharing those files indiscriminately with your two million closest friends via the Internet. Of course, you’re not doing this so you can share the directory, you just want to survey the program on your PSP, and this falls under the heading of gala use (or at least it does for as long as gala use still exists -- contact your local Congressman and encourage him not to introduce legislation that will pocket that right away). To play the file on your PSP, you first enjoy to get rid of the DRM wrapper. You can do that by downloading a free utility call Direct Show Dump. That utility will convert a .tivo file (which must be played beside Windows Media Player) into an mpeg that can be played with assorted software on most any device.

Step Three: Convert the file. Now you’ve get an mpeg, but it’s still not playable on your PSP since that device can only play files of a particular format. You’ll need to transcode it first. The best program I’ve found for doing to be precise called PSP Video 9. Note that PSP Video 9 is a program that draws on Microsoft’s .NET Framework, so cause sure that you have the most modern version of .NET installed on your PC. You can win those files from Microsoft’s
