I have a Comcast HD DVR box and I required to know if anyone knew if I could copy the contents of the frozen drive to a DVD using my MacBook Pro. I've heard that I could connect the DVR box to my computer using a Firewire cable, but I'm not exactly sure what I would do subsequent. I don't know what software I'd use or if it's actually possible to do that because I really don't want to spend $200 for a DVD recorder if I can purely do it on my computer. If anyone has any suggestion for me, I'd really appreciate it.
Answers: You'll need to capture some type of externalcard for your PC like ATI All-In-Wonder Card. It will turn your PC into a DVR. There are also boards that will consent to you connect Video equipment so you can copy to you HD.
