What dvd-r brand is the cheapest?

Watch your local Sunday paper for public sale ads from Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Depot and Staples. I own seen them as cheap as 12 cents.

You are correct - they are not reliable and fall short often when burning and/or after short storage period.
