Running big def tv near one cable box through the computer to tv's via medium center?

Can I use one HD cable box run it through my computer with Dual HD Tuners to Media center computers connected to HD TV's

The purpose is to rent one and only one hd cable box from the cable company and I like medium center.

Answers:    Yes...but this won't quite do what you want...

First, Media Center doesn't support HD resolutions, so anything you history will be "squished" or distorted because the resolutions won't match. (yes this includes both HD and non-HD programs.)

Second, unless your PC's graphics card supports component or HDMI video-out, connecting your PC to your TV will one and only result in a standard definition picture - NOT an HD one. So far, simply the high-end graphics cards support these, and even then, it's a pretty special feature.

So essentially, you'll lose the "HD".

You'd be better off in recent times upgrading your HD tuner to one with a DVR built within. This would be able to properly transcription HD, while still being connected to your TV. These tuners also support multiple outputs, so you could, if you really looked-for to, connect the DVR to your PC as well if you really looked-for to...
