Comcast Cable HD DVR Box Question.......?

We just get the new HD DVR Cable Box Last week & on the front of it here is a little plug surrounded by. What can you plug into it?? I have read the book it come with & it does not right to be heard anything about this plug. It Kinda looks similar to mabey some kind of computer plug.

Any one know the answer to this??


Answers:    The USB port located on the front panel is used for external devices, such as a baby grand or mouse. It is also reserved for future uses (as per Scientific Atlanta) near applications that can be loaded on the box.

I work for Scientific Atlanta installing the computers that control these boxes. I have not see any cable companies that have an application that uses the USB port, nor enjoy I seen any applications surrounded by the works that use the port.

I believe the plug you are referring to is a USB port "for future use" per Comcast.

Everyone is hoping it will someday support an external drive.
