Why cant these cable guys split the satellite nurture coming into my apartment?

I live in an appartment building. I have cable with TimeWarner, but i switched to DirecTV so i could hold nfl sunday ticket. The satellite dish is on the roof, so directv goes through a company within order to install satellite. anyway, the cable guys come and were supposed to install two DVR's. but...they couldnt because they said "one and only 1 satellite feed be coming into the unit" and they couldnt split it. i talked to the property arranger and he says that they cant run down an added feed. my cross-question is this:
why cant they split existing satellite team?
how can i solve this problem?

Answers:    That's BS. My set up is like peas in a pod way but I hold 2 TVs connected.

Call them back and enjoy them redo it.
becuase the satellite nurture is different than cable. A multiswitch is set up on your roof that splits the signal to all the different apartments. One row for one box.
agree it's not true - you just inevitability a splitter box.
If your talking HD you may not grasp enuff signal for 2 outfits!A signal booster may help, tho I hold no experience with 'em!
Unfortunately, you involve to run two separate cable feeds from your dish vertebrae to your unit. You simply cannot whip a single feed from the dish and split it between your two DVRs. Each beneficiary needs to bring up to date the dish's feedhorn how to orient itself in instruct to get the correct guide.

Thus, it comes down to whether your landlord can't run that second cable because there's no room to do that, or because they're simply not prepared. No two ways around it. Sorry.
