Help working a samsung dvd recorder?

I just set up my up to date samsung dvd recorder R120, but it is so confusing, if anyone could help, i would be remarkably greatful...I hooked the input cord it came beside to box the recorder and my cox cable digital recordering box like it should be, plugged the power cord within to the wall...it turns on and off...I be reading the instruction guide online and i'm even my confused...one of the steps says Press the Input Selector on your TV remote control until the signal from the DVD Recorder appears on the blind. I keep pressing the input button, and it doesn't find it....

Answers:    Your description is somewhat confusing. You have to connect the your cable flash to your cable box. Your cable box has to be connected to your DVD recorder. Your DVD Recorder have to be connected to your TV. Once they are all connected, you enjoy to make sure to turn on your cable box and your DVD recorder or your TV won't bring any channels. Make sure you are select the input/source for your DVD recorder and not the cable box. If you have an HDTV, it can whip a few seconds for your TV to switch between sources/inputs so keep on a few seconds between select sources to while your TV tries to sync up with your input signals.
