Mac Mini vs. Sony DVD/HDD DVR?

I'm contemplating between Mac Mini or Sony DVR for to be connected for to TV. The main purpose: store my camcorder video, my photos and some TV recording. I also enjoy a windows PC near wifi at home.

Sony DVD can do all plus DVD burning and 160G HDD, but I don't resembling the way to do the video verbs. I like it that I can copy some of the DVD into the HDD.

I regard mac mini may be a good belief, but I heard underprovided the capability to transcription TV. I have a satellite TV heir to connect.

Appreciate any views.

Answers:    Honestly, if you want to account TV, then don't walk with the mac. I'm sorry to vote it (I use macs all the time) but they don't, as far as I know, journal TV. For everything else they are great. If you are going to be doing DVR stuff (like recording TV shows) afterwards you should get a steadfast DVR. Pretty much everywhere that does TV will have a copy of one.

Basically, it will be a trade off for you. The Mac would be better for storing video and pictures, but it won't record TV. The Sony sounds close to the one you should probably get.
