Can an elderly woman be skilled to use TIVO? And does it zap adjectives commercials well?
But she watches TV all year and the one thing she truly hate is so many commercials. Commercials, commercials, everywhere you look. She'll view marginal programs just to avoid commercials.
I've told her roughly TIVO but I've never used one myself. I'm good next to electronics and THINK I will be able to instruct her on how to use one.
But is TIVO's commercial zapping know-how easy to use? Does it really loose change how you watch TV? Is it as great as I'm audible range some people vote?
Answers: Hi John,
My 84 year old mother-in-law operate a TiVo and I have never be able to coach her to work a microwave except "stop" and "go". She can't learn anything else.
The commercial zapping is comfortable and I hacked my remote to confer her a 30 second skip at a time you push fast forward.
Programming and watching is duck soup because you find the show you want by pet name. You don't have to verbs about date & times. If there is a series she like you can have it transcription every episode with a single click.
You can revise a lot almost TiVo hacks & enhancement on the TiVo community forum here - http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/ind...

My mom uses it and she has problems using the oven. Tivo is terribly simple to use. It is no different than a cable or satellite receiver, except it will copy what you are watching.
I love mine! I recommend Directv. If you get stuck on something or have a problem, their tech guys are 24/7 and are very practical.
