What is firmware?

Answers:    It's the programs that are burned into the circuitboard chips of an electronic device. Such as a bread maker, or a remote control, or the BIOS of a motherboard. Sometimes these chips can be erased and reprogrammed electronicnally, sometimes they must be exposed to UV insubstantial and put into an EEPROM programmer. Some chips cannot be reprogrammed, just burned once.

If anything go wrong while updating firmware, the device can be ruined.
Also known as 'software'.
