Your Opinion on DVRs?

I just get a Digital Cable subscription, and as nice as the package is you a short time ago can't help but want more. I am looking no at DVR (Digital Video Recorders) but am admittedly clueless. Obviously the brand given name that everyone knows it TiVo, myself included.

The Question: What is the best DVR and why. Is within an alternative to TiVo that does not require a monthly subscription service. What do you have? Do you approaching it?

Answers:    Hi swimboy233,

We prefer TiVO because of simplicity of use. The schedule is other correct because it is updated every day. I can program TiVO to transcript from out of town over the Internet. TiVO learns what you similar to and recommends shows that you might close to. Often times we never would have certain they were on. You can program an entire season of a given series next to a single click and TiVO never forgets. You can tell TiVO you close to someone or something and it will locate shows for you. For example if you tell it you similar to John Wayne it will watch for and dictation anything he is on.

With my series 2 TiVO I can transfer recordings to my computer, cut them if desired then transcript them to a DVD. You can also allow TiVO to share pictures and music from your computer. It will play the music and slide shows on your TV.

I could go on and on give or take a few TiVO. There is one downside and that is the monthly (you can recompense yearly if you want) levy.

The TiVO Community Store often have good bargain for TiVOs or accessories. Check them for current pricing along beside your local Best Buy - http://store.tivocommunity.com/merchant....

You need any a phone line or internet nouns for TiVO to download software updates and program information.

I hope this helps you put together the best decision.

We enjoy dish network, and it have DVR the brand I believe is Echostar technologies, it come with the plan we enjoy. I can honestly say that it does cost, but i consider like 5 dollars a month, and you can seize it put on two tv's it might not even cost weve had ours for resembling 2 years.
I will say I don't keep watch on much tv, because I don't hve time, but the DVR has made it so glib to watch those shows that I regretted missing, it holds, tons of stuff on it, we own one recording almost 24/7 and we once in a blue moon run outta space unless someone fogets to delete the already watched stuff.
I love ours, and while its not TIVO its definately a flawless thing to own and functions the same, interruption, rewind live tv. you can pause it at the establishment and skip thru commercials when your liek half thru it.
