So about the ONLY style for you to connect the Tivo wil be from the DirecTV receivers coaxial outputs to TV. (These will be sending a Analog signal to your TV. The n you will call for to get the Tivo to control the addressee for changing channel. This may be a little tricky, I hold NOT heard for those hooking up to DirecTV recevers IR ports, that is NOT to speak that it cannot be done. I know that the DirecTV receivers/dvr's have a spot for an IR cable so it should work. I would can`t bear to have to hail as DirecTV to ask though..
you can connect the output of your directv receiver to the tivo and to control the channel you need an ir blaster. you also stipulation to configure your tivo to work with the satellite.

You stipulation to call DirecTV and transmit that you own your Tivo box...they will set it all up for DirecTV to work through your Tivo box.
