How do you verbs files from your Direct TV DVR to your computer?

I have the cable to do it near, but cant figure out how to accomplish it. I want to reclaim what I have on the DVR to my computer. Do I entail a special program??

One way to do it is near DVD Xpress.

With DVD Xpress you can transfer your video to your unyielding drive and then gag it if you desire. DVD Xpress comes with plain video editing software. I also saw a newer model of DVD Express at WalMart last week but I can’t remember the price. It be called DVD Express 2.

You connect the composite output of your DVR into the DVD Xpress and connect the DVD Xpress to your computer via a USB cable.

I appreciate the Directv disabled that function. The feared copyright infringment suits against them and instructed Tivo to disable the function.

I hold 4 Hughes DTV Tivo's. (3) 80 hr machines and the 250 Hour HDTV in my living room.

I love them, but it make me mad that you can't use Tivo on the dance.

I have hack my Tivo before, but my research have said that there is no reliable hack for this problem.

I finally a short time ago bought a dvd recorder, hooked it up to the Tivo and record to it similar to a VCR.
