Can I swap DirecTV TiVo's beside duplicate access card? PLEASE READ!?

Answers: Most likely not. Whenever you purchase a previously owned DirecTV Tivo next DirecTV requires you to purchase a NEW card for it. Now you can TRY to swap your card, it may or may not work. What happens near the NEWER DirecTV cards is that they are considered "Married" to the DirecTivo once it is installed. Now I have hear and read on forums that some people grasp lucky when they have to appointment direcTV customer support to get the DirecTivo connected on to their accoutns and the Customer Rep allowed them to use their imaginative card. Now I had purchased 3 from Ebay and have to purchase 3 NEW cards, it is NOT too bad though nearby is a 1 time fee of $20.

If you wanted to UPGRADE your elder 30Hours ( I am presuming it is a 35 Hour) DirecTivo there is some software you can download online for $20 for an ISO sign of the DirecTV Tivo software legally, install it on up to a 400GB knotty drive, reinstall back into your DirecTivo and Enjoy up to 370-380 Hours of Recording time. (Or you can put 2 NEW knotty drives into the DirecTivo for up to almost 800 Hours of recording Time). No, you would not. Part of the information encryption on that card ties it to that specific receiver ID number, so it won't work next to any other box. I don't remember the specific policy, but I think would most plausible happen, though, is that you will own to purchase a new card ($20) specifically for that beneficiary.
HOWEVER, be careful when purchasing a addressee from Ebay because a CSR will NOT activate it for you if it's still live on another account or tied to an narrative in collections.
