I have an HDTV, but I don't want to wage for satellite or cable service, so I watch adjectives of my shows over the air (digital). However, similar to most people, I work, and thus I have need of some way to narrative all of the shows I want to scrutinize, but I cant find a DVR not affiliated with any a satellite company or TIVO (who charges for their program guide that is broadcast OTA anyway). Are at hand any DVRs made specifically for over the air channel?
Answers: Any PC with a digital TV tuner and Vista can be used as a PVR. Media Center provides a nice TV guide and PVR-like functionality. No monthly fees.
