Can you rent a dvd afterwards burn it on to a different Cd?

On My Dell computer can i copy that movie and burn it on to a different cd and not mess up the other disk?

Answers:    Can you - yes...at least assuming you're using a DVD, and not a disc.

Should you - no. It isn't legal to breed a copy of a DVD that isn't yours.

Technically, you could make a copy and use it so long as you are renting the movie. But once you return the movie, you own to destroy adjectives copies you made, or be in betrayal of the law.
