How do you register from a DVR to DVD recorder?
thank you so much
Answers: I've get a Sony DVD recorder as well, and own copied many shows from my DVR to it. Basically, you obligation to connect the DVR's RCA output (the Red/White/Yellow outputs) to one of the DVD recorder's RCA inputs.
Don't know what brand of DVR you've got, but some, resembling TiVo or ReplayTV, have a "Save to VCR" function, which will set up what you want to copy, and consequently give a brief countdown, contained by order for you to start cassette on the DVD recorder (or VHS, if you still have that dinosaur!). If your DVR doesn't enjoy this feature, afterwards just:
1. Set the DVD recorder to the Record Speed you want (SP, LP, SLP, etc.)
2. Put a blank disc contained by the DVD recorder
3. Press the REC PAUSE button on the DVD recorder, which will get it prepared
4. On the DVR, start playing the show you want to transfer
5. Either hit the REC PAUSE button again to unpause it, or hit the REC button repeatedly, to transcription in 30-minute increments (if the show's 2 hours long, hit the REC button 4 times)
