How do DVD disc's transcription the movie on the disc?
Thank you for your time in mortgage!
Answers: Hi liquidfire,
At home you use a process called "burning". A laser focuses only just below the surface of a DVD and heats a shroud of plastic. It "burns" pits in the plastic that DVD lasers can read.
Commercially record DVDs are pressed. That allows them to produce them at high speed. A master form is made and it stamps the indentation into the DVD with one "hit".
It is across the world accepted that pressed DVDs will final longer then burned but the jury is still out on that.

Unlike cassette DVD's at home with your DVD burner, Studios and companies that mass produce DVD's walk about it a different passageway. They use a MASTER DVD that "stamps" the image onto blank DVD's at a speedy rate. By stamping the image onto the blank medium, they can mass produce at the fly.
