ATTN: DirecTV users. Do you really lose your signal when it's wet or overcast?

I've always be a cable tv subscriber. But DirecTV is working hard to convince me to switch beside all their clean HD channels of behind schedule.

But I can't get historic the thought that rain or even overcast skies can turn my TV into a worthless wall pattern.

So, if you're a current DirecTV user, can you tell me how normally this happens to you?

NOTE: I live contained by the midwest where we do obtain our fair share of wet and/or cloudy overcast days.

Answers:    I live in Southern California and own had DirecTV for over 7 years. I HAVE lost my signal possibly 3-4 times for almost 1-2 minutes over those 7 years.

the issue usually happens when the rainfall (I MEAN HEAVY RAIN) just starts to come down, after after about a minute it other came put a bet on up. Now maybe I am partial to it since I do live contained by Southern california and it does not rain much here. But sometime when it does it can come down unyielding.

What actually is going on is that the RAIN and thunderstorm is so thick/dense and wet that the signal is not strong satisfactory to stay focused on the line of verbs to your dish, the rain is obscure the signal. Then once the Rain, thunder, Lighting starts it basically clears up the signal to your dish. Like I said it customarily doesn ot last too long, even when we enjoy had precipitation for days.

I am sure you have have your cable go out on some episode? Maybe someone hit a telephone pole or something? The precipitation usually would be less of an issue than any of these kindly of issues. As long as your Dish is pointed in the correct direction and is stable to its nouns the signal will come right back.

I hope this give you some idea of what go on so you can make a informed edict. If you have any further question please feel free to transport me an email..
Ok, I have direcTV...have it for almost a year. We had trouble a few times getting signals when it be really windy during storms. When it is only raining or overcast it is fine. It has to be raining it *** bad and really really windy for the signal to mess up. When it does though it's completely irritating. I would say that if you are joyous with cable....stay next to cable. I will probably switch back to cable when the contract beside direcTV is done.
