How can I lift something I save on Comcast's box and put it on a DVD disc, or a portable recorder?

I save shows I want to keep watch on later , but, when my box (Tivo-like from Comcast cable) is full I hold to delete them in establish to save more shows. Is here a way I can any transfer those shows to a DVD recorder, even VHS would do, or register them directly onto DVD redcorder? I do not want to lose the Tivo abilities to hold shows or fashion them go support.

Answers:    If your Comcast box has a composite or S output, connect that to the approaching input of a VCR or DVDR, start playback on the Comcast box, start record on the VCR or DVDR, and you're adjectives set. You also have to bring the audio across beside a standard dual red/white RCA cable.
