What is the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R or CD-R and CD+R? which ones are better to use to burn pic's?

Answers:    the - or + are just different formats of the DVD or compact disc, computers can read or burn both, but if you want to put pics on either DVD or disc and play it in a DVD player or some other disc drive you will be better past its sell-by date using the - format. it's more universal and most DVD players can with the sole purpose read -, unless it was a pricier one resembling Sony then it should be OK next to both - or +
A clerk at my local Radio Shack told me the difference between the - and + is the direction of the spiral track. On one the track is read and written from the hub out. On the other it is read and written from the outside edge surrounded by. He wasn't able to share me which one was which. I don't deem there is any noticable difference contained by the quality of any format.

Now, if you want the technical lowdown on this hard-to-find information, read the following website:

Also, as I get it, the new DVD+R DL format is a double veil disc which can hold more data.
