The second room from Dish Network remote is with the sole purpose controlling tv but not satellite. what is wrong?

The remote seems to be working because it turns on the TV, very soon the SAT is on and I tried switching channels for the SAT but it didnt work I even tried to turn it rotten and it wont do it. So it can be the battery can it? Yes it is the right control.


Answers:    The second room remote is RF so you might try checking to see if the RF antenna on the backbone of the receiver is still attached firmly.If it have come off or is loose that could be your problem.It could be the battery are not strong enough to transport a signal to the other room though,weak batteries=weak signal.
Make sure the SAT button at the top of the remote is pushed & red, not the TV one
