Why is the dvd of Frazier that I record presently registering blank even though I hold already watch it?

Make sure you have finalized the DVD if you are trying to play it on a mechanism other then the one you record it on.
Wash the DVD thoroughly with dish wash soap and warm dampen, rinse well and wipe dry near a paper towel wipe across not in a circle. Now try it.

CDs own a start and an ending when they are burned, if the start is undermined by a scratch, some players can't deduce it any more.
Try the DVD on another player, or if you have a DVD burner , check the DVD disk info on it. If it say empty, and 4.7gb free, you are looking at a different one than the one you burned your show on :-(
