Answers:    It should. The first commercially available DVRs from TiVo worked on cable systems years before the cable company offered DVR set-top boxes. I get my first TiVo over 8 years ago long before Comcast offered a DVR and worked lately fine.

The DVRs just register the same signal explicitly displayed on your TV and, in nonspecific, have no requirements.

If your cable company offer Digital TV channels and broadcast HD channel, you will require one or more CableCards from the cable company to be able to tune and copy these channels. This may involve a small monthly tax of several dollars a month.

I just get my second TiVo HD and it works just fine.
