Do I enjoy to use the dvr through my cable company?

I want to get a dvr in a minute that the prices have come down. Will it work next to my cable box (Time Warner) or do I have to use theirs. If so will it be legally simple to program? To get if from the cable company is $15, but I can buy one for $299 or smaller number.

Answers:    you do not have to use the cable companies DVR, i own been using my PC as my DVR for relatively a while..

there are beinfits to using the cable company DVR however, such as picture contained by picture, and the ability to narrative one show while watching another, but depending on the DVR that you are choosing to get, you hold better options what you can do near your media once record, such as transfer it to a portable player, or burn it to disc (depends on what is supported by the DVR you buy)
yes you do
