I am thinking of getting the DMREZ27EBS model & wondered if it was any moral?!! - Unless anyone knows of a better one for matching price? (around lb150.00).
Answers: I have a Panasonic DVD recorder (not your model) next to Freeview and it's excellent.
It also does upconversion to HDMI. That's not true HD quality but it's much better than SCART because in that is no digital-analogue conversion going on between the disc and the tv screen.
