Is it possible to plug in an external strong drive into my DVR and use that as additional space or could I put a trial hard drive into the DVR to afford me more space? Also, are there any righteous hacks for the Verizon DVR?

No, since you do not own the DVR you cannot instigate it up to put in a bigger HD other erudite you'll get stuck near fotting ghte bill.....I think in that is some programming info stored on the HD and if you swap it out,,,it won;t work...
