Can Video Game Consoles really destory a Plasma TV?

Answer:
Yes,the backgrounds "burn" into the screen and they will be seen as a "ghost image" in whatever you watch after wards.
Nope. It depends on what kind of games youre playing; it would probably be ruined if you plugged an Atari or NES into your Plasma
It could, if you play games all day long and the same games all day long. Plasma can have persistent images or otherwise known as burn-in. This is only if you play the same games or have a game paused for a extremely long time.

For example, if you play John Madden all the time, this can pose the potential of burn in. But, if you play sports, race cars, fighting, first person shooters, then plasmas work great.

I have a 50" plasma and probably play video games 10% of the time and the rest of I watch movies and TV. I have had the TV for about a year with no burn in issues. At times, I may play video games all day long or all night long too.
The whole burn in problem is not exclusive to Plasma TV's, a burn in occurs when and image is left on a screen unchanged too long. However it happens on LCD as well and is why your computer most likely has a screen saver, because it is used to save the screen from burn ins.
