Ok, I've been at this for three days. I'm a PC tech, so I've tried adjectives the basics. My laptop have VGA and S-Video out. I'm not happy beside the S-video quality, and my tv singular has HDMI (not DVI) and component for Hi-Def. I bought a VGA to Component (RGB) cable. I combed through the net trying to get some info on this. The local resolution for my tv us 1366x768. Of course this resolution is not one of the selections for my Intel 945GM adapter. I know power strip is not compatible near this intel card, and I also tried to hack the .inf file near the help a brilliant post I found on the trellis, and still nothing. When I connect my laptop to the tv, the picture is extremely noisy, after after a while, it's just black. HELP!! Just speak about me if this is possible or not. I'm driving myself nuts over this trying to make this work when it may not even be possible. Just offer it to me straight, I need to get hold of some sleep... lol thanks.

VGA is sinple RGB next to some extra signals thrown in. Component is RGB where on earth some of the extra signals are included in the RGB. So, a VGA to RGB cable doesn't hack it. You stipulation a VGAS to component converter.
