Black is one color and white is a also color.. but balck and white tv is not a color tv y?

Answer:
Color tv is like the color spectrum that when light passes through it,. it breaks up into the color or red, blue and green which are your primary colors and the other can me made from them.

Black is the absence of white light.
white is not condsidered a color
lol
technically BLACK is the absence of light and WHITE is the absence of color.. so not considered a color in a spectrum such as HUES of ROYGBIV are
Because a B&W TV does not have any chroma circuits
nor the electron guns in the CRT (picture tube) to display
the other colors. As a matter of fact a Color TV does
not have any electron guns for either Black or White, the
B&W colors are generated by using different shades and
intensities of Red, Green and Blue.
Black and white are not colors, they are "shades". That means, they do not collect or repel light, causing them not to have any hues in them.
Whoever is able to answer this I think will be able to solve our global warming crisis.
Yes, monochromatic is the right defination for black and white tv as others have explained. And if you look and read closely at the packing of this kind of tv than you could understand and know that it is not 'Black and White tv set'. Cheers.
Black and white are part of the chroma spectrum. Unless the TV covers the entire chroma spectrum, it is not considered a color TV.
