Phones and TVs Weird Noises?

I have a question i have been wondering about for a while. I don't know if other people have expierienced this, but it happens quite a bit to me. I mostly noticed it when i was in high school, and my class was watching a movie, there would be strange sounds comming from the TV. I know this happens when there is a cell phone in the room, and with a class filled with teenagers, im sure there were many. Have you noticed that even when your TV is off, if you have your cell phone too close, it will make strange noises sometimes? Anyone else expeirience this, or know what causes it? Im just curious. Please let me know. Thanks!

Answer:
I've heard this too, mostly on older TV's. The usual problem is unshielded speakers or wires in the TV that pick up signals from the cell or cordeless phones. I have a pair of cheap computer speakers that start emiting beeps just before my cell phone rings if the phone is within 5 feet of the speakers.
the tv just hates you, sorry
