Ok if you have admit it then here is what to try !! coil the eject mechanism by appendage until the cage is surrounded by its unloaded position, if it already is then look at the sensors at respectively side of the cage These tel the micro pro that a cartridge is present ! sometimes a servicing technique is used where the the sensors are covered surrounded by some way , black cassette maybe , at hand is also a sensor on the deck itself , it looks like oil lamp it is in the centre of attention of the deck and sticks up into the cassette when it is in the loaded and down position, sometime specifically also covered to simulate a tape individual present. That about adjectives I can offer at the moment but you should hold a couple of things to check now.
