What to look for contained by a TV?

When shopping around for LCD and Plasma TVs, what stats should I be paying attention to for point, etc. to know what I'm getting for my money?

Answers:    1. TV manufacturers provide virtually no adjectives specs.
2. Stores generally drive their TVs from a single illustrious quality source. By looking at them, you'll enjoy no way to relay what they'll look like next to a different resolution source. For example, I've seen reviews giving dignified grades to a sets HD capability and blackballing the set because the SD recital was unacceptable.
3. Find professional reviews of the sets you're considering. This isn't easy because most sets aren't reviewed. look at the December Consumer Reports-they review a massive number of sets that are actually within the stores right now.
4. Don't repay any attention to statements like, my cousin have one and he loves it! You may hate it. Get professional reviews and don't buy a set if you can't find a review.
5. The service and warranty for the no-name brands come and go from poor to non-existent.
6. I've attached a few links that should help.
