Digital Cable on HDTV, can you still examine Standard Cable on the other TV?
my question is, if you seize Digital Cable through comcast, can you still watch the channel you have on the standard t.v.s, or do you requirement a box to watch anything
Answers: The cable carry a mixture of analog and digital signals. When you add a box for your HDTV, the analog signals will still be in that and you can still feed them to cable all set TVs as now. However, be aware that contained by February 2009, all over the heavens analog TV in the US will abstain from to exist. Many cable companies will end carrying analog signals at that time. Then, you'll any have to put in a box for every device you have-TV, VCR Etc. or take other measures. One is the use of over the atmosphere (OTA) digital signals which are being transmitted right immediately. Whether you can do that depends on how far you are from the transmitters and whether there are any obstruction between you and them.
You should be able to keep under surveillance the non-digital channels on your other TV.
I own only one HD box from Comcast and it's surrounded by the family room and the lone reason I enjoy it is because I subscribe to HBO and to get the expanded HD smudge up. In the bedrooms I have flat panel with built within ATSC/QAM tuners and they display all SD channel as well as unscrambled local HD channel such as ABC,CBS,NBC,FOX and PBS HD without a box.
