I get a elder Sony big blind tv 53inch. Recently i get rogers HD but the picture doesn't stretch or zoom.

It doesn't zoom or stretch to fill the entire blind. is it settings i have to adjust or is my tv to big?

Answers:    IF your TV set have a SQUARE display instead of a RECTANGULAR display, you cannot make it fit properly UNLESS you transfer the Cable box to output a Video display of 4:3 aspect.

For a Rectangular TV you want the cable box to output a Video display of 16:9 .....

Now, some HD stations like to put a 4:3 picture surrounded by a 16:9 frame, and you cannot change the size of the picture when they do that....

That's why I SUGGEST you find Discovery HD Theater within your station lineup, and select that station.
Then look at the picture....it's ALWAYS a 16:9 picture in a 16:9 frame.
And it will other FILL the screen if you set up your CABLE BOX CORRECTLY.

Start near.....then check the cable box's Video Output settings. They should be set to 1080i and 16:9 for Rectangular or 4:3 for a Square TV.
