We have a tv that has picture but no sound whats wrong and whats the cost to repair?

Depends on how old the set is and what's wrong with it. The only way to find out is to take it to a local TV repair shop and have them take a look. It could be a simple connection, it could be a speaker, it could be some electronics...no way to know without opening it up.
If it's an old TV or a small one, it'll probably cost too much to repair...you'll probably end up buying a new one.
