Recording Digital Cable to A DVD Recorder?

I have Comcast Digital Cable. I just bought a DVD recorder with a digital Tuner. How do i record channels above 99? and can i use the record function on the digital cable interface to record things to the dvd recorder?

Thanks

Answer:
In order for you to record any of the digital channels, you will need to hook the DVD/R up to the cable box via the line inputs (red, white and yellow). That's the simplest way to do what you want to do. Hook the output of the DVD/R to the line in of your TV. Hopefully your TV has more than one line in. If the TV has component inputs, you can hook the output of the DVD/R to that. Then use the other line output from your cable box to the line input of the TV. This will have 1 input via the cable box and DVD/R, and another input straight from the cable box to the TV.
