Currys bought tv bust?
Answer:
Anything you buy must be fit for the purpose for which it was bought. That's the law of the land.
Clearly your tv is not working properly. Take it back and get a full refund. Make sure you have the receipt when you take it back.
You are within the 28 days of the Sales and Supply of Goods Act 1994. You should get a refund. If they get huffy then throw your toys out of the pram until you do.
We bought a telly from Currys that was faulty from the second we switched it on. They tried to not let us take it back, but told us we had to send it for repair. I didn't think that was at all fair, selling substandard goods and expecting the customer to wait for a repair, so I refused and got my money back. I did end up buying another one from the same store though.
I'm not sure where you'd stand after fifteen days though, you need to get onto them asap.
Never buy anything from Currys. My son bought a laptop, and they said it was covered for any repairs for a year. The transformer plug bust at the back and they told him it would cost to repair it cos he had yanked it out. He had'nt and why should they say that. He eventually had to pay to have it repaired. they will blame you for it going wrong and make you pay the repairs.
They seen you coming.
